Just a few updates on the adoption front. There have been several passport application packets found for Beacon House children this last week! Three applications have been found and now resubmitted. This process has proven to produce a passport in about two weeks....so God willing a few families will be traveling soon to bring their children home!
Monica's passport and/or passport application packet is still missing in action. There are a few avenues being attempted at this point. Beacon House is still hopeful her passport could be found completed, or in process, so they are continuing to search the passport office. Another avenue is we could pay someone to travel north to Monica's village (Bunkpurugu, Ghana...google it I dare you!) to get another birth certificate so we can reapply. It sounds easy, but it's Ghana...nothing is easy over there. This would of course cost money, above the cost to reapply so they are cautious before making decisions that will add even more expenses to our adoption. Whew!
We are holding on to God's promises knowing He has set this into motion and she will come home in His perfect timing. We covet your prayers and will keep you updated as we wait.
