Please pray for our family to know Jesus. It is really hard for those who do not know Him to understand our hearts. Adoption seems selfish to them....as much as that doesn't make a bit of sense to us, what we are doing doesn't make sense to them.

- 12.12.08 I600 Approval from Ghana via Email
- 11.17.08 Filed our i600 in Ghana at the US Embassy
- 9.26.08 ~ Adoption decree granted
- 9.24.08 Recieved our I-171H
- 9.15.08 Dossier made it to BH
- 9.9.08 We got our referral, Sent our dossier to Ghana
- 9.8.08 InfoPass Appointment in Yakima
- 9.4.08 Dossier Complete - minus I171H
- 8.31.08 Home study draft was accepted by us.
- 8.29.08 Our last home study appointment ~ Praise God!
- 8.1.08 Began our Home study process
- 7.28.08 We got our Pre Approval! Yeah!
- 7.8.08 God restored our hearts and lit a fire in BOTH of our hearts. We asked BH to process our file for pre-approval
- 6.08 Prayed for God to bring us back together
- 6.08 Hubby and I were not in alignment, we put our application on hold
- 5.08 Started taking the online adoption classes
- 4.08 Filed our preapproval application for Beacon House
- 1.08 Began to pray about adoption, orphans and being open to what God was calling us to

Neither of our families understand the life that we lead ...
We are the "crazy religious homeschooling family with all of the kids". :)
When my mother in law heard that we were adopting, we got the first note from her in years. It said something like, "I heard you were getting a kid from the Congo." I guess, to her, all of Africa is "the Congo".
Our children have been home for 6 months, and have only met one of their four grandparents. Sad!
Hoping your family will embrace not only your new child, but also our Lord and Savior!
